Dragon Totem

My animal totem is a dragon. I know this creature is my animal guide because the dragon is a constant presence in my life, and consistently shares beneficial wisdom with me. Every time my animal totem communicates with me (in dreams, meditation, or random appearances in my awareness), I feel uplifted and enlightened. When I feel lonely, or afraid, I can call on my dragon animal guide and she comes to my aid. I feel protected and safe when I acknowledge this power animal presence in my life. My dragon totem first appeared to me in a vision when I was 4 years old. From that point on, I knew I was always guided by a higher animal power, my dragon.

I think of my dragon as a spirit guide, and I cherish this special relationship. After many years of communicating, listening and working with my animal guide, I have found her to be a vital ingredient to a healthy spiritual path.

I only recently found out that my totem animal is a dagon, too! I found out about him during my first proper meditation (I'm fairly new to this). He's actually the most amazing friend and guide I've ever had! He's a black dragon, with deep purple wings and a muscular body. His name's Kellan. I actually love having such a brilliant and strong animal totem. I always feel safe and protected.

When I was on my journey, I culdnt see anything until i was on the rock. I saw a fox but not its face. jus the body and it was all a burnt orange color like the sunset. i was leaving and i told the fox he culd come with me and when i was bout to go, i looked up and saw a white dragon flying over me. i saw its face and its front legs but the back half was invisible. i did reading on it and it said dragons and foxes were shape shifters. my dragon reminded me of the dragon from the never ending story, except it was more friendly and playful. its crazy cause i think it tried to play with me to make me think my animal was the fox. im obsessed with japan. dragons play a big part in my life. i am interested in going on a journey with my dragon.

i did, Avia (look at your other pages on dragons). for someone with such a history with them, i'm surprised u have not writen more about dragons. like, i do not see a page on dragon tattoo meaning on your tattoo website. dragons are major in my life, i guess that makes them totems. at any rate, i know i will be getting a dragon tattoo for my birthday this autumn. i see you have several dragon tattoos, so i was surprised not to find a page about their symbolism as tattoos on your other wesbsite. any plans to write one on dragon tattoos? thanks for ur time. Adam,
Interesting that you have a dragon totem!! My son Adam does as well. He's 13 now and about 5 years ago my friend and sister painted a dragon mural on the wall in his room. He picked the picture out of a book that he loved for a number of years. He commented many times how he could see the smoke come out of the white dragon and how he'd fly off and come back. He says his dragon is always with him. What an awesome totem to have!!
