Puppies are Symbolic Too!
Puppies are symbolic to me because they are so playful and affectionate! And have you ever seen a movie when you see a boy and it's trusty companion,a puppy,become a hero to a town but once the puppy is gone,the luck seems to go away too? What other explaination is there?! :) Avia's response to "Puppies Are Symbolic Too" post Hi Alyssa, thanks for this great observation. Synchronistically, a friend of mine brought over her new pitbull puppy for me to meet around the time you submitted this (I included his picture @ the top of the page). You're right, Alyssa, puppies are indeed auspicious. It's a rare cultural view that doesn't embrace the dog as a harbinger of good fortune. Puppies remind me of the fresh, innocent face of the qualities universally symbolic for the dog. These symbolic qualities include:
I particularly appreciate your observation of the bond shared between mankind and puppies. The earlier the bond is formed, the more intense the potential is for these symbolic qualities to develop. BamBam (in the photo above), and your post reminded me that puppies are symbolic of communication of the heart. I was reminded that there are far more effective ways to communicate than with just words. And puppies (as well as adult dogs) are an perfect illustration of how humans and animals can communicate in terms of love, devotion, compassion and care. Thanks again for this great post!
