Exploring Family Connections with Astrology Signs and Planets

What are astrology signs and what do they have to do with family connections?  On the surface, they are those ancillary identifications we use to look up our horoscopes in the local newspapers. This view is painfully gaunt in light of the full-bodied truth of astrology and what kinds of potential it can hold for you.

For example, the sign you’re looking up for your horoscope is only one small shard in the prismatic glasswork that is your astrological-looking glass. Common horoscopes are reflecting only one sign – your sun sign.  Truth be known, you have many astrology signs, plus one rising (ascendant) sign. Your sun sign is most commonly known (and that’s how horoscopes are interpreted). Then you have your moon sign. You also have signs for the eight planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) and then you have a sign for your True Node and Chiron. Each of your astrology signs reveals a lot about your personality and family connections.  You can look at your sign for each planet and see how the relationship might be influenced.

Humans are complex creatures; its fitting astrology is equally complex as to capture our diversity and compliment the scads of color combinations that form the human personality and saga. Paracelsus perhaps expressed it best when he said…

“Man is a microcosm,

or a little world because

he is an extract of the stars and planets

of the whole firmament.

From earth to the elements;

he is their quintessence.”

~Paracelsus

Paracelsus isn’t the only scholarly genius who stands by this statement.  In fact, brilliant minds in the field of today’s quantum mechanics and physics have come to the same conclusions: That we are born from the stars.

Consider the implications of that statement.  If the essence of who we are was born from the womb of our galaxy, what kind of potential would the human race hold?  If our DNA is laced with stardust what kind of historical memories loom in our blood? Quite simply, I’m suggesting we move beyond one-dimensional horoscope trivia and embrace our starlit lineage. Perhaps even choose an astrologer for in-depth insight.

I’m also suggesting that, as cosmic children born from a host of stellar and planetary parents, we share the same magnanimous energy.  Our heritage is starlit.  Our birthplace is infinite.  Indeed, the very same trace elements and minerals that make stars and planets are found in our bodies.  We all drink from the same starry cup. Furthermore, just as you share traits with your mother and father, on a larger scale, you share traits with the infinite, mystical forces of our galaxy. That means we have limitless power.

It makes you want to know more about your cosmic lineage, doesn’t it?  You can too.  By learning more about your astrology signs, you can begin your climb into a family tree unlike any other.  Learning your signs will give you the tools to track down your true lineage.  In so doing, you unlock your true potential.

You can take the first step on that journey by casting your own astrological chart here.

Family Connections and the Planets
(How Planets Represent Friends, Loved Ones and Family Members)

In the meantime, here is a brief rundown of planets and how they are symbolic of family connections. In other words, each planet influences a family member or someone in your life. This list of planet meaning and symbolism and friends, loved ones, and family representations combined with the sign you possess for each planet will be revealing about your relationship with that person.

  • Sun: Father or a fatherly influence in your life
  • Moon: Mother or maternal influence in life
  • Mercury:  Sisters, or female best friends
  • Venus: The matriarch (such as grandmother) or wife, or strong female partner/mentor
  • Mars: Brothers, or male best friends
  • Jupiter: The patriarch (such as grandfather) or husband, or strong male partner/mentor
  • Saturn: Male relations such as uncles. Also male superiors (boss), co-workers distant associates
  • Uranus: Children such as sons or daughters
  • Neptune: Female relations such as aunts. Female superior (bosses), co-workers & acquaintances
  • Pluto: In-law, distant relatives, ancestors

I hope these thoughts about astrology signs and family connections offer inspiration. If nothing else, the symbolism of planets, astrology and family relationships should hopefully be something to ponder. I hope to delve more deeply into this topic, so stay tuned! As always, thanks for reading!

Mighty brightly,
